A quick stop on my hike across Sydney towards Mrs. Macquarie’s Chair a few months ago turned out to be the best image of the trip.

I’m leaving a few weeks to visit Australia again. Excited to get more pictures of Sydney and Melbourne, two fantastic cities.

Sometimes a quick re-edit breathes new life into something you knew you liked, but never felt like publishing. Processed in Nik Analog Efex Pro, which I’m liking a lot more than I thought I would.

Sometimes the shots you spend the least time preparing for are the best. Taken after sunrise as I was walking back to my hotel.

I shot this with my Tamron wide angle for my crop frame. Since I went to the D600 I haven’t had a wide angle, but I just got in a 18-35mm f/3.5-4.5 and I’m very excited to get out and shoot with it. So awesome to have a wide angle on my full frame!via Flickr http://flic.kr/p/gXbJPR

I was back in Sydney last week. This sunset was a bit more spectacular than the last one I witnessed from this location. Alas they had the area gated off to get out to where the rocks are, so the foreground is limited to some still water from the long exposure.via Flickr http://flic.kr/p/gEKGCp
