Stop and Stare

Even photographers sometimes just stop to take it all in.via Flickr

Flower Wheel

From the Walnut Festival in Walnut Creek, CA. I am very fond of the Walnut Festival, not because its especially great, but it was the first real outing we had as a family after coming to California last year. Its a harbinger of fall, and hopefully much better weather for photography.via Flickr

A Line in the Sea

From Berkeley Pier. Even in its current incarnation, it’s a very long pier. Makes for a cool forground as it mirrors the horizon and provides a nice leading line to the barely visible Golden Gate Bridge in the distance. This was a great sunset. Katie and I had a blast here. HDR handheld with my #x100s.via Flickr

Red Sea

I love the reflections of the bridge on the water. From the wayback file, December of last year. I need to go back to Fort Baker again, it’s been a while.via Flickr

Moonrise Trail

I distinctly remember this morning. I was on Treasure Island, hoping to catch the moonrise, photographing furiously around 3:30 AM when I hear my name shouted at me from behind. Scared the living shit out of me. Leave it to Max to see me way out in the underbrush taking pictures while he was walking by. I wasn’t expecting to see anyone that morning, so obviously was quite shocked to see him.via Flickr

Back Catalog

Working through it slowly but surely. From January. This was the most brilliant sunset I’ve ever seen, although we’ve had some good ones the past month that I wasn’t able to get out and photograph.via Flickr

Show Me Your Lights

Everyone’s posting about the new span, but it wasn’t long ago that the Bay Lights were the new hotness. From March shortly after the new lights were lit.via Flickr
